Dirk Hofschire is managing director of the Asset Allocation Research team (AART) at Fidelity Investments. Fidelity Investments is a leading provider of investment management, retirement planning, portfolio guidance, brokerage, benefits outsourcing, and other financial products and services to institutions, financial intermediaries, and individuals. AART resides within Fidelity’s Asset Management Solutions division, an integrated investment, distribution, and client
service organization dedicated to meeting the unique needs of the institutional marketplace.
In this role, Mr. Hofschire leads the Asset Allocation Research Team, which conducts fundamental and quantitative research to develop asset-allocation recommendations for Fidelity’s portfolio managers and investment teams. AART generates insights on macroeconomic, policy, and financial-market trends and their implications for strategic and active
asset allocation.
Previously, Mr. Hofschire led the Market Analysis, Research, and Education (MARE) group within Fidelity, which he created in 2005 to provide timely updates on trends in the economy and financial markets. He joined Fidelity in 2000 as a senior portfolio analyst.
